
Dr. B.B. Pradhan completed his B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, Muzaffarpur, under B.R. Ambedkar University, Bihar, in 1996. He then obtained his M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur in 2004 and completed his Ph.D. from Jadavpur University in 2009.
Dr. Pradhan began teaching in 1997 and currently has 27 years of experience. He is a member of the General Council of NBA, the Academic Council of Sikkim University, and the Board of Governors of SIST Chisopani. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Management of CCCT, Chisopani.
Dr. Pradhan has successfully executed an AICTE CAFES project worth ?2.75 crore as the Principal Coordinator for CCCT. He is also a member of the interview panels for SIST, ATTC, and CCCT. Furthermore, he serves as an external expert for the Board of Studies (BoS) in the Mechanical Engineering Department at SMIT. He has also been an external examiner and Ph.D. thesis evaluator for Aliah University, Jadavpur University, and SMU.
Areas of Interest: Non-Traditional Machining Processes, Micromachining, Nanofabrication, Design and Fabrication of Monolayer Super Abrasive Grinding Wheels for Ultra-Precision Machining, CAD/CAM, and Energy Planning.
