Rules and Regulations – Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST)

Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) is committed to maintaining a disciplined, safe, and academically focused environment that promotes learning, respect, and personal growth. All students are expected to follow the rules and regulations of the institute and uphold the values and reputation of the college. The following rules must be observed by all students within the campus.

Students must follow these rules:

• Students must abide by the rules and regulations of the college at all times.

• Students must follow the prescribed dress code during academic hours and official activities.

• Discipline and respectful behavior must be strictly maintained within the campus.

• The Director will entertain requests only from parents regarding student matters.

• Students must attend all internal examinations to be eligible for semester examinations.

• Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to appear for semester examinations.

• Use of mobile phones during academic hours is strictly prohibited unless special permission is granted by the authority.

• Ragging in the campus is strictly prohibited and punishable as per regulations.

• Consumption of alcohol, drugs, and smoking is strictly prohibited inside the college campus.

• Students must carry their college identity card at all times inside the campus.

• Students must maintain cleanliness and take proper care of college property and infrastructure.

• Any event or function organized by students in the college must have prior permission from the Principal.

• Books borrowed from the library must be returned within the stipulated time.

These rules are designed to maintain discipline, ensure academic excellence, and create a safe and respectful environment for all students at the Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology.
